This was my very first big project. I was asked to create illustrations for a children's book about child labour in Aachen. I had never done such a thing before and welcomed the idea with tons of enthusiasm. It was a massive learning experience for me and although I am not very content with the final product, I am glad about the lessons I learned. An example is that I realised the importance of creating a designated colour palette. I also was confronted with my limited skills with digital illustration programmes and my desire to grow within this. All in all, a project that sparked motivation to keep improving as an artist.
